Rebecca Bank

Rebecca Bank is a communications assistant at the ACDI and currently completing her MPhil in the Environmental and Geographical Science Department at the University of Cape Town. She has experience working in communications and on multi-stakeholder research projects based in South Africa and internationally. This experience has built her passion for writing, research, communication, and design over the years. Her own research focusses on sustainable food systems, localised agriculture, and local economic development along the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast, building on her honours research project which investigated hunger as a ‘state of disaster’. She is passionate about the current climate-related issues facing food systems in South Africa.
