Mike Izava Olendo

Mike has an MSc in Ecological Marine Management (ECOMAMA) Vrije Universitiet Brussel (VUB), Belgium. He has over a decade of experience working in multidisciplinary settings on natural resource management across Africa. Currently co-leads and contributing to continental marine knowledge systems through the ASCEND systhesis team, Blue Africa. 

Mike is also undertaking PhD on governance, access, and political ecology in small-scale fisheries at University of Cape Town Department of Environment and Geographical Sciences, supervised by Dr Philile Mbatha and Dr. Jean Huge
