Connecting research, innovation and action to address Africa’s climate and development challenges

The Climate Research and Innovation Hub will connect research, synthesis science and innovation activities addressing Africa’s climate and development challenges. It will bring together evidence, strengthen emerging research leaders, and support promising ideas towards practical application. Synthesis science activities will be developed with ASCEND, while CAILab will bring together transdisciplinary teams to develop and test responses to real-world climate challenges. Wider innovation and entrepreneurship activities will create opportunities for students and postdoctoral researchers to develop promising ideas and access mentoring, venture-development support and potential start-up funding.
