ASCEND Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Nobuhle Sharon Lungu is an animal scientist with expertise in agriculture, food systems, sustainable livestock feeding practices, food security, and nutrition. Nobuhle is the current Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the BAOBAB synthesis team Sustainable, Healthy and Resilient Animal Source Food Systems in Southern Africa (AFS-SA).

With a background in animal science, Nobuhle has worked across research, international development, and policy advisory sectors, contributing to evidence generation, policy development, and practical interventions supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. Her work focuses on sustainable food systems and livestock feeding practices and is grounded in systems thinking and evidence-based policy approaches.
