Siphelele Magodla

Siphelele completed an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town before pursuing an MSc in Climate Change and Sustainable Development in 2025. Her master’s dissertation, titled “ Empowering Energy Communities: A Typology of Community-Based Energy Governance in South Africa” explores the emergence of energy communities in South Africa and develops a typology to understand how different community-led energy initiatives are shaping a more inclusive and sustainable energy transition.
