ACDI recognises that deep, long-term capacity is not built in once-off workshops. So we seek out climate change and development-related professional short courses that can address gaps in content (such as adaptation MEL; climate risk and insurance; climate-smart agriculture; or accessing climate finance) through in innovative delivery modes.
Here we highlight the non-formal courses relating to climate change and development that are on offer at UCT.
-
CSAG's annual winter school
-
Energy Research Centre as part of UCT's Continuing Professional Development programme
-
Managing power sector reform and regulation
-
Finance, contracts and risk mitigation for private power investments in Africa
-
Development policy and practice
The Graduate School of Development Policy and Practice Executive Short Course Programme offers high-level training in various public policy and development areas to senior public leaders and officials, as well as senior national and international actors in the private and non-profit sectors, and members of think tanks.
