Nadine Kilala
Nadine Kilala is from Tanzania and holds a BCom Honours in Public Development Management from Stellenbosch University. Her research sits at the intersection of financial inclusion and climate finance, with a focus on expanding access to green investments across Africa. She is particularly interested in designing de-risking mechanisms that address systemic barriers such as credit rating bias and inflated risk premiums that hinder climate-related capital flows. Through this programme, she seeks to build technical expertise and policy literacy to develop frameworks that democratise green finance, while grounding financial innovation in robust environmental analysis. She aims to contribute to evidence-based policymaking across African development and financial institutions.
