Leslie Ashburner

Leslie has worked in academia, private, government and non-profit organisations in South Africa, in the field of education and sustainable development.  Leslie’s MPhil in Climate Change and Sustainable Development (UCT) included a dissertation on the intangible co-benefits of environmental job creation projects.

Leslie is currently coordinating the ARUA Centre of Excellence in Climate and Development (ARUA-CD). She previously managed the Adaptation Futures 2018 conference. Leslie was also part of the team coordinating and managing the development of the curriculum for the SARUA Master’s in Climate Change and Sustainable Development.
