Isabella de Beer
ACDI Masters Student
Isabella de Beer completed her BSc Honours in Biodiversity and Ecology at Stellenbosch University during 2022. She spent a year volunteering at a small local nature reserve in Knysna, as well as joining CREW outings surveying native wildflowers. Her past research involved spatial modelling and mapping of woody invasive species and quantifying the drivers of their assembly across South Africa. Currently, her research interests have migrated to environmental policy, climate change impacts, disaster risk science, and science communication. She is a full-time student enrolled in the MSc in Climate Change and Sustainable Development course.
