Bouchra Bargam

ASCEND Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr. Bouchra Bargam is a hydrologist and geomatics engineer with expertise in hydrological modeling, artificial intelligence, and remote sensing. Bouchra is the current Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the BAOBAB synthesis team Climate Vulnerabilities, Conflicts, and Livelihood Dynamics in the Sahel.

With a background in GIS engineering and a PhD in hydrological response modeling of mountainous watersheds, Bouchra has worked across academia, applied research, and industry, contributing to innovative environmental monitoring solutions. Her work focuses on integrating AI and remote sensing into hydrological and water resource modeling and is grounded in interdisciplinary methods that blend data science with environmental science.
