Bessy Kathambi

Dr. Bessy Kathambi is a distinguished environmental sociologist with a focus on environmental management and governance, enriched by a solid foundation in sustainable development, community empowerment, environmental communication, and project planning. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environmental Management and Governance from the University of Nairobi. Her proficiency in facilitating multistakeholder collaborations in landscape restoration has been recognized by Wageningen University & Research. Dr. Kathambi's extensive experience with leading organizations such as the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, World Resources Institute, County Governance Watch, SDI Kenya, and ACTS, underscores her status as an authority in environmental sustainability and community development.
