Samira Matan
ACDI Masters Student
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Samira spent the past four years living in Senegal. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a double major in Health Sciences and Sociocultural Anthropology from Western University, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Interdisciplinary Design Strategy. Her research interests are in human-centered design, digital development, emerging technologies, and sustainable and climate-resilient communities. Passionate about theatre, culture and travel, Samira hopes to gain a deeper understanding of climate change adaptation in an African and global context and contribute to critical research in sustainable development.
