Nelson Mandela Day celebrated on 18 July, is an international day honouring the work, life, and legacy of Madiba. On this day people are encouraged to go out into their communities, for 67 minutes or more, to join forces and lead the way in creating change. 

On Mandela day this year, Reliance Compost will go out to a local Stellenbosch school, St Vincents RC Primary, which accommodates around 998 learners, to setup a vegetable garden and beautify the school grounds by planting trees. Reliance Compost will be collaborating with the Million Trees Project by the Stellenbosch Municipality, along with Trees 4 Schools project.
