Ruwani Walawege

Ruwani has a research and academic background and has a strong interest in working in climate change and adaptation fields. Ruwani was previously working at the Climate Systems Analysis Group (CSAG) at the University of Cape Town, as a research assistant and project coordinator.  She managed the yearly Winter School program for the group as well as working with external partners and funders in finalizing short-term project needs. Her academic background is in Atmospheric Science, and she holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Cape Town.

Currently, Ruwani serves as a Project Manager at the African Climate and Development Initiative (ACDI) at the University of Cape Town.
