Georgie Walsh
Georgie Walsh holds a bachelor's degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) from Stellenbosch University, which was then followed by her Honours in International Relations. Over the past year, she has been employed as a development analyst at an economic development firm in Observatory. The firm specialises in bidding on international development projects related to trade, regional integration, agriculture, and private sector development.
Her experience in the international development sector has heightened her awareness of the increasing importance of green development programmes, particularly ones focoused on emphasising Africa's urgent need for enhanced climate resilience and adaptation amid the worsening climate crisis. This realisation has driven her decision to pursue a Master's degree in the EGS field, aligning her interest and passion in climate issues with the current market. Her core areas of interest include environmental governance, circular economy and ESG.
