Isaac Ketu
Isaac Ketu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the ARUA/Carnegie-Mastercard Early Career Research Fellowship in the Centre of Excellence in Climate and Development (ARUA-CD) based at ACDI, University of Cape Town. His research focuses on energy policy and the socio-economic dimensions of clean energy adoption in developing African countries. At ACDI, he is taking part in research aimed at clean cooking fuels through hydrogen-based investments. Isaac is participating in the GreenGuest project under the supervision of Dr Britta Rennkamp, which aims to replace Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) with green Liquefied Fuel Gas (gLFG), yielding innovation for household fuels.
Isaac has a background in Economics and is a Research Associate in the Centre for Studies and Research in Economics and Management, University of Dschang, where he completed his PhD, focused on how infrastructure development can be leveraged to foster structural transformation in developing African countries. He has authored and co-authored several research papers, published in leading peer-reviewed journals. His research, published in African Development Review and Journal of International Development, is among the top-most-cited papers published by the journals in 2024.
