ARUA-CD researchers join ARUA Biennial International Conference
In November 2023, researchers affiliated with ARUA-CD participated in the 4th ARUA Biennial International Conference held in Lagos, Nigeria, and hosted by the University of Lagos. The event attracted approximately 300 participants, including experts from universities, research institutions, government, industry, civil society organizations, and various stakeholders associated with ARUA. The conference centred around the theme "Reimagining the Future of Higher Education in Africa."

Parallel Session on Capacity Building for Research & Faculty Development
ARUA-CD researchers from the Supporting Partnerships and Networking (SPaN) project, attended the parallel sessions on “Capacity Building for Research & Faculty Development” where Millicent Amekugbe presented, “Development of an online training course on multistakeholder collaboration in transdisciplinary sustainability research with a focus on African landscapes”. This presentation discussed the project's newly launched open access short course titled, Multistakeholder collaboration for equitable and climate-resilient landscapes.
“The presentation and ensuing discussions provided valuable insights into the Multistakeholder Open Access Line Cause. The session successfully addressed inquiries, fostering an interactive exchange of ideas. The session demonstrated a collective interest in the course's sustainability, adaptability, assessment, and certification processes.” explains Millicent Amekugbe who presented the course during the parallel session.
